Nanik Siti Aminah, a lecturer in Chemistry at UNAIR, has been recognized as the Most Productive Journal Author for her extensive publications

During the 67th anniversary of Universitas Airlangga’s Dies Natalis, the university’s rector awarded accolades to researchers, lecturers, and academics. Among them, Dr. Nanik Siti Aminah, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, received the recognition as the 3rd Most Productive Journal Author in the field of Science and Technology (SAINTEK). This honor was bestowed based on the substantial number of publications she has contributed.

Dr. Nanik attributed the award to her research group, emphasizing that their achievement reflects collaborative efforts involving international research partnerships, institutional collaborations, and postdoctoral students. Currently, her research group has secured 5 Research Grants, leading to publications in reputable international journals.

Her ongoing research focuses on Natural Product Chemistry, particularly the isolation of secondary metabolite compounds, followed by their activity testing and modification.

“Alhamdulillah, this recognition means that our collective work is being appreciated by the university,” she remarked. Dr. Nanik hopes that this recognition will inspire students to work diligently. “We must work hard—no matter how talented students are, if they are not willing to work in the lab and publish their work, their contributions will not be recognized. Collaboration is also crucial,” she added, offering motivation for future endeavors.
