Amazing! The Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Chemistry (KPS S2 Kimia) has received the award for Outstanding Lecturer in the field of Science and Technology at UNAIR
Yanuardi Raharjo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., who serves as the Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Chemistry, was selected as one of the distinguished lecturers of Universitas Airlangga in 2021 in the field of science and technology during the celebration of UNAIR’s 67th Dies Natalis. His participation in this selection process was motivated by the Chairman of the Chemistry Department, the Vice Dean II of FST, and the Dean of FST. Ultimately, he proved to the department chairman and the Vice Dean II of FST that their choice was justified by winning the award as an outstanding lecturer in this competition.
The man born in Sidoarjo on January 3, 1984, has previously achieved various accolades. In 2021, he obtained 4 Patents focusing on hollow fiber membranes, 4 SCOPUS-indexed publications, and conducted research on hollow fiber membrane spinning machines, hemodialysis membranes, and UNAIR’s Air Purifier for COVID-19.
As a lecturer specializing in analytical chemistry, he has innovated his teaching approach by integrating video learning materials and live streaming sessions with student representatives and teaching assistants. Additionally, he introduced a feedback form for Master’s Program in Chemistry students to enhance educational quality and learning.
Beyond research and teaching, Yanuardi Raharjo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., has engaged in community service with the Faculty of Science and Technology, educating on the utilization of traditional medicine for health preservation and care.
Currently serving as the Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Chemistry, he has also served as an Internal Auditor for the Study Program at FST, UNAIR, and AIMS/AMI UNAIR. Recognized as the 2nd best lecturer in STEM fields, he hopes to inspire young UNAIR lecturers to excel in research, community service, and teaching. His guiding motto is “continuously innovate and strive to provide greater benefits to others.” He encourages young lecturers to keep working, innovating, and learning to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
