Celebrating Heroes’ Day Department of Chemistry Unair Invites Guest Lecturer from University of Malaya
On Thursday, November 10, 2022, coinciding with Heroes’ Day, PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students from the Department of Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), along with 10 MBKM students from various universities in Indonesia currently at UNAIR, participated in a guest lecture titled “NMR Analysis on Natural Product Compounds.” The lecture took place in the Chemistry Meeting Room, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, UNAIR. The guest lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Khalijah Awang from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, Malaysia. This lecture was part of the Campus Merdeka Competition Program (PKKM) of the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga.
Prof. Dr. Khalijah Awang has covered several topics in the Natural Product Chemistry course taught by Prof. Dr. Nanik Siti Aminah, M.Si, from the Natural Product Chemistry research group at the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Airlangga. Prof. Khalijah expressed her delight in sharing knowledge and engaging with the UNAIR chemistry students. The students attending the lecture showed great enthusiasm, actively asking questions about natural product compounds. She also had a brief discussion with graduate students involved in the natural product chemistry research group about current research topics.
