Musbahu Adam Ahmad, an international student from Nigeria, successfully passed the Master’s program examination in Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga
Musbahu Adam Ahmad, a foreign student from Nigeria who enrolled in the Master’s program in Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga in 2020, successfully defended his thesis on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM WIB. Musbahu conducted his research under the guidance of Mochamad Zakki Fahmi, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., and Satya Candra Wibawa Sakti, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. He presented and defended his thesis on the topic of cancer treatment titled “A Perspective on Using Organic Molecules Composing Carbon Dots for Cancer Treatment” and was declared successful in his defense.
Musbahu Adam Ahmad, a foreign student from Nigeria who enrolled in the Master’s program in Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga in 2020, successfully completed his closed thesis defense lasting for 2 hours via Zoom Meeting. The examining committee was chaired by Mochamad Zakki Fahmi, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., with four other committee members: Satya Candra Wibawa Sakti, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Yanuardi Rahardo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Tjitjik Srie Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., and Dr. Alfa Akustia Widati, S.Si., M.Si. Musbahu expressed his profound impression during his master’s studies in Indonesia. Over the past 2 years, he has often excelled in competitions held in Indonesia, such as achieving 2nd place in Indonesian speech contests at the Festival Handai Indonesia. He has also successfully published a paper titled “Ion Impregnation Effect of Fe, Cu, Cr-attributed Mordenite on Stearic Acid Cracking” in the Indonesia Journal of Chemistry Vol. 22 No. 3, published in June 2022. Musbahu hopes that the knowledge he has gained in Indonesia will be beneficial and applicable in his home country, Nigeria.
