The Master’s Program in Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga Holds Student Research Dissemination
The dissemination of research by Master’s students in Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga was conducted via Zoom meeting on September 4th. This event was organized to provide a platform for graduating Master’s students to present their research findings. The speakers at this event were four students: Muhammad Ikhlas Abdjan, Desita Kamila Ulfah, Dinda Khoirul Ummah, and Fakhri Firdaus.
The presentations began with Muhammad Ikhlas Abdjan. Ikhlas, a Master’s student in Chemistry at Universitas Airlangga with a specialization in physical chemistry, focusing on computational chemistry, presented his research titled “Exploration of Stilbenoid Trimers as Potential Inhibitors of Sirtuin1 Enzyme Using Molecular Docking and Molecular Dynamics Simulation Approach.”
Next, Desita Kamila Ulfah, a Master’s student specializing in physical chemistry, presented her research titled “Synthesis and Photoluminescent Properties of Copper Carbon Dots (Cu-CDs).”
Next, the third speaker, Dinda Khoirul Ummah, presented her thesis titled “L-cysteine Modified Silver Nanoparticles as Acetone Biomarker Sensor Candidates” under the supervision of Dr. rer. nat. Ganden Supriyanto, M.Sc., and Dr. Miratul Khasanah, M. Si. Dinda is a Master’s student in chemistry with a specialization in analytical chemistry.
The final presentation was given by Fakhri Firdaus, a Master’s student in chemistry specializing in physical chemistry with a focus on nanotechnology. Fakhri presented his thesis titled “Utilization of Ethanolamine to Increase Emission Capability of CuFe2O4-HA Nanohybrids and Its Applications for Detection of HeLa Cancer Cells” under the supervision of Mochamad Zakki Fahmi S.Si., M. Si., Ph.D., and Dr. Alfa Akustia Widati, S. Si., M. Si.
