Department of Chemistry FST Universitas Airlangga was honored by the visit of Professor Seung Wook Kim on August 25, 2017. Prof. Kim who is a senior professor of Biotechnology from Korea University gave a guest lecture entitled “Biotechnology and its application” to new undergraduate students and graduate students (Master-Doctoral) of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga. On this occasion, Prof. Kim explained the history of the development of biotechnology from time to time. Its application in industry, especially in Korea, was also conveyed to students to provide the importance of the role of biotechnology. A number of collaborations were also initiated between Korea University and the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga.
